Job Detail: Rent Income Officer
Overall Summary:
Main responsibilities will be collecting all income due in line with targets, providing benefits advice, agreeing and negotiating appropriate repayment plans undertaking legal action relating to rent arrears as necessary. Providing a comprehensive rent arrears service on all general needs and supported housing properties and carry out all functions relating to the control and monitoring of rent arrears ensuring targets and timescales are met. Negotiate appropriate arrangements for the recovery of debts in accordance the client’s policy, procedures and working practices.
Background Experience:
Approximately 2 years experience working in a customer facing role and application of housing revenue collection procedures and policies
Practical work experience of working with clients with high support needs
Experience of working with external professional agencies, statutory and voluntary
