Job Detail: Head of Secondary, Budapest - £46K
PBR Group is working with a leading International school based in Budapest to recruit a new Head of Secondary for September 2010. The school offers the English National Curriculum, international GCSE to children aged 3 -16 and the IB programme.
We are looking for an exceptional individual to offer leadership, inspiration and guidance. The successful Head of Secondary would also need to manage the day to day routines of the Secondary School and play a major role in strategic planning for the whole school. This position would suit a current Deputy Head or a strong Assistant head/Head of department who is looking to advice their career.
Reporting directly to the school Principal, duties & responsibilities would include:
- The control and operation of academic provision in the Secondary School, including timetabling and the effective deployment of staff and physical resources.
- To oversee the management of student subject options in the Secondary school, particularly for IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate.
- To work with the Principal and the Leadership Team to formulate aims, objectives and strategic plans for the School.
- To manage the construction and publication of the Secondary School Development Plan and to assist in the construction of the School’s Strategic Plan.
- To oversee the implementation of Secondary School academic policies and procedures, including G&T, SEN, Coursework, Homework, Health and Safety, etc
- To oversee the performance management system for academic staff in the Secondary School, and to manage a carefully focused programme of CPD.To lead curriculum development throughout the Secondary School to ensure the delivery of an appropriate, challenging and interesting academic.
- Manage the Secondary School’s reporting and assessment procedures, including the publication of results, record cards and full reports, and the organisation of parents’ conferences.
- Assist in the preparation of Job Specifications for all secondary staff and to participate in the interview/selection process for new staff.
