Job Detail: Teacher of Science - Maternity Cover

PBR Group is working with a leading comprehensive school based in Sussex to recruit a KS3 &4 Science Teacher to commence work in April 2012. This position is due to a maternity cover so would initially be up to July 2012 but would likely be for longer.

This school is a popular and successful 11-16 comprehensive school with specialist Arts College status and a separate sixth form. Their standards are high and it is their aim to provide the best possible learning opportunities to enable every child to fulfil their maximum potential academically, culturally and socially.


Candidate Specification:

A highly motivated and excellent Science classroom practitioner
Enthusiasm, energy and commitment to children of all abilities
Ability to exercise professional leadership to secure high quality teaching

Skills, Knowledge and Aptitude:

At least 2 years experience of working in Secondary Schools
Thorough understanding of the National Curriculum
Ability to work within a close-knit, supportive team
Relevant and current professional development for National Curriculum for England
High level KS3 & 4 teaching experience
